Hoban Runs Through Powerhouse Erie Cathedral Prep

Archbishop Hoban dominated in a 47-14 win over Erie Cathedral Prep on Friday night.

The Knights scored seven touchdowns, and the defense and special teams helped set up numerous scoring chances.

Caleb Jones scored from one yard out to give the Knights a 14-7 lead midway through the third quarter. And then the defense and special teams handed the offense the ball with a short field on back-to-back possessions.

First, Jordan Pritchard-Sewell blocked a punt that was recovered by Jayvian Crable. On the first play after the blocked punt, Lamar Sperling broke off a touchdown run of 18 yards.

On the next Cathedral Prep possession, Micah Rice intercepted a Barnes pass at the Cathedral Prep 20 to set up the Knights again. And again, the offense took advantage, as Long threw his second touchdown pass of the night, this one to Crable for two yards.
